MAKER

Movement

Marymount

the first school in Cuernavaca to offer FabLab
for junior high and high school students!

Marymount is joining the Maker Movement in its goal to help young people grow
into active participants who positively impact the world around them.

FabLab is an educational laboratory that offers avant-garde technology, like 3D printers, laser cutters, recycled material and other tools, so that students can apply their knowledge and abilities in projects that seek creative solutions to real world problems.

It is a place for invention, creation and discovery; a collaborative space where everyone learns, and knowledge is incorporated with personal interests and the resolution of everyday issues.

Starting with the 2017-2018 school year, our students in junior high and high school will explore in the FabLab and begin to think and develop themselves as makers.

Through this experience, students will develop their creativity and ability to innovate while solving real problems; their minds will be filled with ideas and knowledge that will lead them to unexpected solutions.

A maker is... anxious, self-taught, with a desire to learn, collaborate and contribute to society.
